FAQ

Questions people ask

Simple answers about what AJOS does, what it costs and how your information is used.

What is AJOS?
AJOS is a free website that helps you look for a job. You type the job you want and where, and it shows matching jobs from LinkedIn, Indeed, JobStreet and five remote-job websites in one list, so you do not have to check each site yourself. It can also look up a company's contact details and help you write a cover letter.
Is it really free?
Yes. There is nothing to pay and we never ask for card or bank details. Each account gets a monthly allowance (see "How many searches do I get?" below) so the service stays free for everyone.
Does AJOS apply to jobs for me?
No. AJOS helps you find jobs and prepare, but you apply yourself. Each job has a link to its original page on LinkedIn, Indeed, JobStreet or another site, and you apply there. We never contact employers or send anything on your behalf.
Will AJOS get me a job?
We cannot promise that, and no website honestly can. The employer decides who they interview and hire. AJOS saves you time finding jobs that fit you and helps you write your application, but the rest is up to you and the employer.
What does the "% match" number mean?
It compares the skills a job asks for with the skills in your AJOS profile. A higher number means more of the listed skills appear in your profile. It is a quick guide to help you decide which jobs to look at first, not a prediction of whether you will be hired. You only see it after you add your skills to your profile.
Where do the jobs come from? Are they real?
They are real job ads, collected from the public pages of LinkedIn, Indeed, JobStreet (and its sister sites JobsDB and SEEK) and five remote-job websites at the moment you search. AJOS does not create or edit job ads. An ad can be filled or taken down at any time, so always check the original page before applying.
Which countries does it work for?
You can search any city or country. LinkedIn and Indeed cover most countries. JobStreet, JobsDB and SEEK add jobs in Malaysia, Singapore, the Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand, Hong Kong, Australia and New Zealand. The remote-job websites list jobs you can do from anywhere. Results are filtered to the place you type, plus remote jobs.
What is Company Search and a "reveal"?
Company Search finds businesses by name, industry and location, with their address. When you want to contact one, a reveal shows its website and the contact details it publishes, such as an email address, phone number or social media page. One reveal covers both the website and the contacts. You get 5 reveals a month, and showing a company you already revealed in the last 30 days again is free. Some companies publish no contact details, so a reveal may find only a phone number or nothing extra.
Can I send the cover letter AJOS writes as it is?
Please do not. The letter is written by AI from the job ad and your profile, and AI can make mistakes, including details that are not true about you. Treat it as a first draft: read it, fix anything wrong, and make it sound like you before you send it.
Do I need to upload my resume?
No, you can search without one. Adding your skills, or uploading your resume as a PDF or text file so AJOS can fill in your profile for you, lets it show your match for each job and write better cover letters. You can edit or delete your profile at any time.
Is my information safe? Do you sell it?
We never sell your information and never share it with employers or recruiters. When you use a feature like the cover letter writer, the text it needs is sent to an AI service to write the answer; if our main AI service is busy, a free backup service may be used, and that one may keep the text to improve its AI. You can download or delete your profile, or delete your whole account, from your Profile page at any time. The Privacy Policy has the full details.
How many searches do I get?
Each month you get 25 job searches, 25 company searches, 5 company reveals and 10 email exports of your results. They refresh every 30 days, counted from the day you signed up. If someone searched the same job and place in the last few hours, you get those results instantly and it does not use a search. Writing cover letters has no monthly limit, only a high daily limit to stop misuse.
Why is there a waitlist?
AJOS is in early access and open to 50 accounts while we make sure everything runs smoothly. When it is full, you can join the waitlist and we will email you when a spot opens, first come, first served.
Some jobs or a website are missing from my results. Why?
Job websites sometimes limit how often they can be searched. If LinkedIn or Indeed is busy, AJOS shows results from the other sites and tells you; trying again a minute later usually brings them back. Fewer results can also mean there are simply few ads for that job in that place, so try a broader job title or a bigger city.
