BowerGroupAsia, Inc. is the premier strategic affairs and public policy firm supporting the world’s leading multinational companies in the Indo-Pacific region and Africa. With a presence in over 30 countries, BGA staff provide bespoke services to clients across the region. BGA’s Business Development Team has responsibility for engaging the world’s leading companies and organizations and crafting strategic solutions that advance their business priorities. We seek a talented, highly motivated Director for Energy, Climate & Resources (ECR), based in Asia, to lead the practice.
BGA’s Energy, Climate & Resources (ECR) practice supports companies whose businesses are shaped by energy security, the energy transition, resource policy and industrial decarbonization. The portfolio spans oil and gas/LNG, power and renewables, chemicals, mining and critical minerals, agriculture and biofuels, and adjacent growth areas such as grid modernization, green buildings, battery storage, hydrogen and new fuels, carbon management, and data centers. Candidates should bring the ability to connect these sectors’ commercial priorities with geopolitical, regulatory, market-access, supply-chain, and stakeholder dynamics across BGA markets.
The candidate should be motivated to help the world’s premier companies understand Asia and Africa, find alignment with customers, communities, and key stakeholders by considering the ideas and capabilities of top-tier companies that want to invest. This position will report to BGA’s Vice President, based in Singapore. Candidates from the Washington, DC area and Singapore are encouraged to apply for this role. This role is based in either Washington, DC or Singapore.

Business Development:
• Build and execute BGA’s global business development agenda for the ECR sector. Identify the issues, industries, and specific companies where BGA can add value, and pursue the opportunities alongside BGA’s country experts.
• Lead, coordinate, and advise on the design and execution of regional and single-market business pursuits, including building scopes of work, RFP responses, and pitches. • Develop a highly sophisticated understanding of clients’ business models, organizational structures, initiatives, and challenges and opportunities in BGA markets. Ensure this information is regularly and widely disseminated to, and understood by, BGA stakeholders via BGA communications platforms.
• Improve BGA’s client services and ensure that BGA’s ECR teams are consistently providing value and impact to clients across countries and regions, leveraging and learning from global and country best practices.
