Sales Director, New Business APAC

Sales Director, New Business APAC Build and lead the team that wins ComplyAdvantage's next generation of customers across Asia-Pacific. Who we are Our values: • Make a safer world. Our mission is to neutralize financial crime and protect the global financial ecosystem. • Raise the bar. We are committed to constant improvement, pushing the limits of our AI technology and performance. • See it, own it, drive it forward. We empower our people to take initiative, identify opportunities, and execute solutions with full accountability. • Win as one team. Success is a collective effort; we collaborate across functions, hubs, and borders to achieve our goals. ComplyAdvantage is the financial industry's leading source of AI-driven financial crime risk data and detection technology. Our mission is to make a safer world by neutralizing the risk of money laundering, terrorist financing, corruption, and other financial crimes. More than 1,000 companies rely on us to understand who they're doing business with, powered by a global, real-time database of people and companies. Our solutions surface thousands of risk events daily from millions of structured and unstructured data points. We have five global hubs — New York, London, Singapore, Lisbon, and Cluj-Napoca — and are backed by Goldman Sachs, Ontario Teachers, Index Ventures, and Balderton Capital. The opportunity APAC is one of the fastest-growing regions for ComplyAdvantage, and it needs a sales leader to build the engine that scales it. We're looking for a Sales Director to run our new business function across the region: developing pipeline through a team of two Business Development Representatives (BDRs), converting it through a team of four Account Executives (AEs), and carrying the number for new-logo acquisition across APAC. You'll report to the Managing Director (MD), with your two BDRs and four AEs reporting into you. This is a "see it, own it, drive it forward" role: you're not inheriting a fixed playbook, you're building the team, the standards, and the operating rhythm that will define how ComplyAdvantage wins new business in the region for years to come. What you'll be doing Own the new business number for APAC. Carry accountability for new-logo acquisition across the region, from qualified pipeline through to closed-won revenue. Drive average deal value up through stronger qualification and multi-threading, and identify early cross-sell and expansion opportunities across our product suite, including transaction monitoring, agentic AI, and ongoing screening. Build and lead the team. Recruit exceptional people into your team of two BDRs and four AEs, and sell them on the mission - you are part of what they're choosing. Coach in a way that builds independent operators rather than dependence: develop your team through data-driven feedback, regular development planning, and a player-coach presence on live deals, while giving people the room to work things out for themselves. Build the regional operating rhythm. Stand up the standards that let the function scale in APAC: qualification criteria, territory planning, accurate forecasting, and pipeline and CRM hygiene, alongside onboarding and enablement paths built specifically for a new-business motion. Win as one team across functions and geographies. Partner with Revenue Operations, Marketing, and Enterprise on inbound routing, thresholds, and nurture programs, and maintain a feedback loop to Product and to our global commercial leadership so APAC's insights shape the wider go-to-market strategy. Adopt and help refine the AI-assisted tools and workflows being built centrally, adapting them to what works for the region. Represent APAC in the room. Engage senior decision-makers at fintechs, payment companies, banks, and credit unions across the region, and act as ComplyAdvantage's voice in strategic regional conversations. What you'll bring We're looking for a builder with commercial range - someone who can carry a new-business number and stand up the team and system that produce it. • Proven sales leadership experience, ideally in SaaS, cloud, fintech, or regtech, with the instincts of a player-coach. • A track record of building or scaling a new business function, including hiring, ramping, and coaching BDRs and AEs. • A track record of growing new-business revenue in a B2B environment, with some exposure to cross-sell or expansion motions. • Value-based selling and qualification rigor: you map solutions to real business pain, and you're comfortable qualifying out when the pain or the champion isn't there. • Live and breathe MEDDIC, embedding it into the team’s sales process and holding the team accountable to its consistent execution • A coaching philosophy that develops independent operators — you give people space to figure things out, with the inspection cadence to keep them on track. • Comfort with ambiguity and a fast-changing environment: proactive, resilient, and entrepreneurial. • The credibility to engage senior decision-makers at fintechs, payment companies, banks, and credit unions, and to represent APAC in strategic discussions with global leadership. • Data fluency: you run the business on clean numbers, forecast accurately, and make territory and prioritization decisions analytically. • A commitment to raise the bar and win as one team, demonstrating the cultural attributes needed to thrive in a high-growth, collaborative environment. Benefits: • Equity as we want you to have a part of what we are building • Unlimited Time Off Policy- A work-life balance and focus on our well-being are critical to keep us performing at our best • Access to our Employee Assistance Programme to support you and your family’s wellbeing • Medical Insurance including enhanced Dental and Vision support • Annual learning budget to drive your performance and career development • Budget to set up your home office upon joining About us: Our mission is to empower…
