Chinese Restaurant Assistant Manager

Sales & Business Development • Drive restaurant sales and achieve monthly sales targets. • Proactively develop new customers and business opportunities through networking, referrals, social media, and other channels. • Build and maintain strong relationships with regular customers, corporate clients, event organisers, travel agencies and business partners. • Promote private dining rooms, group dining, corporate dinners, events, banquets and special dining packages. • Follow up with enquiries, quotations and potential bookings to convert leads into confirmed reservations. • Maintain an updated customer database and conduct regular follow-ups with key customers. • Identify opportunities to increase customer spending through suitable menu recommendations, promotions and additional services. • Support the planning and execution of sales campaigns, seasonal promotions and customer engagement activities. Customer Relationship Management • Provide professional and personalised service to VIPs, regular customers and corporate clients. • Understand customers’ preferences and dining requirements and provide appropriate recommendations. • Handle customer enquiries, feedback and service recovery professionally. • Develop long-term customer relationships to encourage repeat visits and referrals. Restaurant Operations • Support the Restaurant Manager in the daily operation of the restaurant. • Ensure smooth service operations and maintain high standards of food quality, service and customer experience. • Assist in staff briefing, deployment and training when required. • Monitor reservations, table arrangements and private room utilisation. • Coordinate with the kitchen and service team to ensure special customer requests are properly handled. • Assist with opening and closing procedures and other operational matters. Sales Reporting & Performance • Monitor daily and monthly sales performance and follow up on sales opportunities. • Prepare basic sales reports, customer feedback and business development updates. • Track customer enquiries, conversion rates and repeat business. • Work closely with the management team to develop strategies to improve sales and customer retention.
