Business Development Manager – Technology Solutions

About Us Umbrella Solutions is a Microsoft partner helping businesses work smarter through technology. Microsoft Dynamics 365 is an important part of what we do, alongside business automation, AI-enabled solutions, industry-specific platforms, connected field operations and custom business applications. That may sound technical but don’t worry. We are not expecting you to arrive knowing everything! We are looking for someone with the right attitude, energy and drive. We will provide the training, guidance and support to help you learn, grow and succeed. What Will You Be Doing? Your role is mainly about meeting people, starting conversations and helping us connect with businesses that could benefit from our solutions. You will: • Connect with potential customers and introduce what we do. • Follow up on leads provided by our marketing team. • Find and develop new opportunities of your own. • Listen to clients and understand their business challenges. • Work with our technical and solution teams to propose the right solution. • Help prepare and present proposals and demonstrations. • Build genuine, long-term client relationships. • Manage opportunities from the first conversation through to closure. You will not be left alone to figure everything out. Our team will support you with the technical knowledge, solutioning and demonstrations while you gradually build your own confidence and expertise. Who Are We Looking For? We care more about who you are than how impressive your CV looks. You could be an experienced salesperson, someone early in your career or someone hoping to move into technology sales. What matters to us is that you are: • Friendly, genuine and comfortable connecting with people. • Curious and willing to learn. • Motivated and prepared to take initiative. • Positive, responsible and dependable. • Comfortable speaking, listening and following up. • Able to work independently while still being part of a team. • Driven to build a meaningful career - not simply find another job. Experience in technology, ERP or solution sales is helpful, but it is not compulsory. If you have the right mindset, we can teach you the rest. Why Join Umbrella? Learn and Grow You will receive training, mentoring and hands-on exposure to technology solutioning including Microsoft business solutions, automation, AI and other emerging technologies. As you grow, your career could develop towards business development, solution consulting, presales, digital transformation or sales leadership. Sell Something Meaningful You will not simply be selling another piece of software. You will help businesses solve real problems, reduce manual work and improve how they operate. Freedom With Support We are friendly, flexible and easy-going - but serious about doing good work. We do not believe in unnecessary micromanagement. You will have room to work in your own way, with support whenever you need it. Be Part of the Journey We are growing, developing new solutions and exploring new markets. You will have the opportunity to contribute ideas, make an impact and grow together with us. What We Offer • Fixed base salary and an attractive commission structure. • Training and ongoing mentoring. • Performance and KPI-based rewards. • Personal development opportunities. • Flexible working arrangements. • A friendly and supportive team. • Genuine opportunities for career progression. Let’s Talk You do not need to tick every box before applying. If you are genuine, driven, willing to learn and enjoy connecting with people, we would be happy to meet you. Skills can be taught. Experience can be built. The right attitude is where everything begins. Life is short. Work somewhere you can grow, contribute and enjoy the journey.
