About the Role
We are establishing an outpatient medical clinic in Singapore that is dedicated to delivering exceptional, personalised patient care, with a special emphasis on Men’s Health, Women’s Health, Sexual Health and Weight Management. We serve a discerning patient base and are building a cohesive healthcare team that is committed to a high standard of clinical competency and providing an unparalleled service quality experience for our patients.
We are seeking a full-time Resident Physician to join our founding clinical team. Our approach combines evidence-based medicine, personalised care, clear communication and rigorous patient confidentiality. Working closely with the Chief Medical Officer and clinic team, you will help shape our clinical standards, patient experience and overall quality of care.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Care
• Conduct comprehensive medical consultations including history taking, physical examination, diagnosis, ordering of investigations where appropriate, and management
• Review and act on investigation results promptly, communicate findings and management plans to patients, and arrange appropriate follow-up
• Develop individualised treatment plans and explain diagnoses and options clearly to patients; make appropriate referral(s) as needed
• Ensure continuity of care through clear documentation, appropriate handovers and coordination with colleagues, including during leave and rostered days off
• Maintain accurate and contemporaneous medical records in the Electronic Medical Record system
• Conduct sensitive consultations with empathy, discretion and a non-judgemental approach, respecting patients’ dignity, preferences and individual circumstances
• Prioritise patient safety, dignity and quality of care at all times
Clinical Standards and Professional Development
• Practise in accordance with established clinical guidelines and recognised best practices
• Exercise independent clinical judgement, practise within demonstrated competence, and seek advice or refer when appropriate
• Support the development, implementation and improvement of clinical processes, workflows and initiatives that enhance clinical quality and patient outcomes
• Maintain continuous professional development through relevant courses, workshops, seminars, and other relevant learning opportunities
• Keep up to date with developments in relevant medical knowledge, clinical practices, and healthcare standards
Compliance
• Comply with all applicable laws, regulations, licensing conditions and professional requirements of the relevant governing bodies, including the Ministry of Health (Singapore) and Singapore Medical Council
• Adhere to the organisation’s policies, protocols, and operational procedures
• Maintain high standards of medical ethics, professionalism, confidentiality, and patient care
• Follow clinic protocols for confidential communication, secure handling of patient information, informed consent and appropriate chaperone arrangements
• Identify and escalate clinical, operational, and/or patient safety concerns promptly and appropriately
Patient Experience and Outreach
• Participate in community outreach, health promotion, and Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives
• Represent the organisation at relevant professional, educational, and community activities where appropriate
• Participate in the organisation’s marketing, media and public engagement efforts as required, which may include filming for social media (e.g. reels and videos), writing articles, contributing to press/media outlets, or appearing on radio or other public platforms/broadcast programmes
Clinical Leadership and Organisational Support
• Provide clinical guidance, training, and mentorship to more junior members of the healthcare team to support the team’s overall clinical development and quality
• Participate in daily team meetings with the clinic’s operational staff to review the day’s patient schedule, flag potential issues, and coordinate patient care
• Participate actively in regular clinical meetings covering case discussions, peer review, clinic performance updates and updates on new medical developments and services
• Contribute to the development of clinical capabilities and knowledge within the wider team
• Perform other clinical and/or professional duties as assigned by management
Requirements
• Full registration with the Singapore Medical Council and hold a valid Practising Certificate at commencement of employment, maintained throughout employment
• Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident (no work pass sponsorship is available for this role)
• Minimum 3 years of clinical experience excluding housemanship year
• Prior clinical experience in Men’s/Women’s Health, Sexual Health and/or Weight Management, ideally in a private practice setting, is preferred
• Postgraduate qualification(s) in Family Medicine (e.g. GDFM, MMed (FM), or equivalent) is advantageous
• Fluent in spoken and written English; proficiency in additional language(s) is a strong advantage
• Hold valid Basic Cardiac Life Support and Automated External Defibrillator (BCLS and AED) certification at commencement, maintained throughout employment
• Comfortable discussing sexual and reproductive health, weight-related concerns and other sensitive issues with patients from diverse backgrounds
• Empathetic, professional and able to explain complex or sensitive medical issues clearly
• Be able and willing to work independently, as well as collaboratively as part of a wider clinical care team
Work Schedule
• 45 rostered clinical hours per week across 5 days, with 2 rostered off-days per week. Our clinic will operate from Monday - Sunday (excluding Public Holidays), and shifts rotate across weekdays and weekends and include evening sessions
