Business Development Manager – Pre-Commissioning Services

We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to grow our pre-commissioning and robotic tank cleaning services. The candidate must have strong customer relationships within the marine, oil and gas, refinery and petrochemical sectors, with a proven record of securing new business. Key Responsibilities • Secure contracts for hydrostatic testing, flushing, air blowing, chemical cleaning, nitrogen services, leak testing, drying, inerting and flange management. • Develop business for robotic tank cleaning , including storage tanks, vessel cargo tanks and industrial process tanks, in coordination with the technical team. • Build relationships with oil majors, EPC contractors, shipowners, ship management companies, shipyards, refinery operators and petrochemical plant owners. • Engage decision-makers in projects, operations, maintenance, shutdowns, procurement and contracts. • Identify upcoming construction, commissioning, shutdown, turnaround and tank cleaning opportunities. • Obtain vendor registrations and prequalifications, manage enquiries and tenders, and prepare proposals with technical and operations teams. • Present the benefits of robotic cleaning, including reduced personnel entry, improved safety and operational efficiency. • Negotiate commercial terms, convert opportunities into orders and achieve agreed revenue and gross profit targets. • Maintain a sales pipeline, coordinate project handovers and support payment collection. Requirements • Minimum 5 years of relevant business development experience in pre-commissioning, tank cleaning or related industrial services. • Strong, active customer contacts in marine, oil and gas, refineries and petrochemical plants are essential. • Established relationships with EPC contractors and end-user decision-makers. • Proven track record of personally opening new accounts and securing contracts. • Understanding of pre-commissioning, tank cleaning and shutdown or turnaround requirements; robotic cleaning experience is an advantage. • Ability to identify target customers and opportunities to pursue immediately upon joining. • Strong communication, presentation and commercial negotiation skills. • Relevant engineering or business qualification preferred. • Willingness to travel locally and overseas.
