Abacus Teacher (Full time / Part Time)

Job Summary We are seeking an engaging and passionate Part-Time Abacus & Mental Arithmetic Teacher to conduct enrichment lessons for preschool and primary school students. The teacher will be responsible for delivering the curriculum provided, creating meaningful and interactive learning experiences, and supporting students in developing their numeracy and mental arithmetic skills. Job Description • Conduct Abacus and Mental Arithmetic enrichment lessons for preschool and primary school students using the curriculum and teaching materials provided. • Deliver lessons in accordance with the programme's learning objectives and teaching guidelines. • Create interactive, engaging, and meaningful learning experiences in the classroom. • Adapt teaching approaches to suit the age, learning needs, and abilities of different students. • Observe students' learning and progress during lessons and provide appropriate guidance and support. • Proactively engage parents and communicate students' learning progress and development where required. • Attend required training sessions to familiarize with the programme curriculum and teaching approach. Requirements • Diploma or Degree in Mathematics, Education, Early Childhood Education, or equivalent professional training. • Able and confident to teach Abacus and Mental Arithmetic to groups of preschool and/or primary school students. • Knowledge or experience in Abacus and Mental Arithmetic is preferred. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate young learners. • Willing to travel and teach at different locations across Singapore. • Relevant teaching experience is an advantage.
