Job Summary The retail assistant supports the store supervisor to ensure smooth daily operations, deliver excellent customer service, and maintain an organized sales floor. Responsibilities • Assist the supervisor in training new staff to ensure effective onboarding and team readiness • Coordinate shift tasks to maintain efficient store operations throughout the day • Report stock shortages or customer issues promptly to the supervisor for timely resolution • Greet customers warmly and respond to their questions to enhance their shopping experience • Recommend products based on customer needs to support sales goals • Resolve basic customer complaints to maintain satisfaction and store reputation • Operate the cash register accurately to process payments and manage returns efficiently • Restock shelves and unpack shipments to keep inventory available and organized • Maintain visual merchandising displays to attract customers and promote products • Keep the store clean, safe, and organized to provide a pleasant shopping environment • Stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights to support daily store tasks • Demonstrate punctuality and flexibility with work hours, including weekends, to support store needs • Collaborate effectively with team members to achieve store objectives Preferred competencies and qualifications • Good spoken language skills and a friendly, approachable attitude to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues
