About the role
As a Member Engagement Officer at ATC Community Office, you will be the first point of contact for businesses applying to and participating in our programmes and initiatives. The role is phone-based for most of the day, with on-ground duties at our on-site events. This is a 6-month contract position with possible conversion to permanent employment based on performance.
Job Responsibilities
1. Programme Follow-up and Outreach
• Serve as the primary point of contact for businesses applying to ATC's programmes.
• Follow up by phone with applicants on pending matters, outstanding documents and incomplete applications.
• Re-engage applicants and past participants, on relevant programmes.
• Conduct outbound calls to qualified businesses to introduce ATC's programmes.
2. Enquiries and Reporting
• Respond to inbound phone, WhatsApp and email enquiries accurately.
• Prepare a short mid-day report to management on cases cleared and matters requiring assistance.
• Maintain accurate records in our internal systems.
3. Events and Summit Support
• Support in-person events on the ground: setup, registration desk, walk-in enquiries, ushering, teardown and post-event follow-up with attendees.
• Support our flagship events: schedule meetings with prospective sponsors, follow up with confirmed partners on deliverables and payments, and coordinate partner logistics before and during the event.
4. Other ad hoc duties
• Undertake any other duties assigned by management to support the office's deliverables.
Job Requirements:
• At least 1 year of experience in a role involving daily outbound calling, such as telesales, telemarketing, membership or education sales, outbound call centre, fundraising or event ticketing.
• Strong communication skills (phone and in-person), with clear spoken English. Mandarin, Malay or Tamil is an advantage.
• Good interpersonal skills, meticulous and detail oriented: communicates only approved information and keeps accurate records.
• Able to work independently and able to work as a team.
• Available for out-of-office hours events - off-in-lieu is provided for participation of such event(s)
• Presentable for front-of-house duties at events.
