Chemical Engineering Technician (Solvent Recovery) • Location: Tuas • (Company Transport / Transport Allowance $120 if candidate travel to work by themselves) • Working hours: Monday to Friday (8am – 5pm); Saturday (8am – 12pm) / Shift Work (Day: 8am – 8pm, Night: 8pm – 8am) • Basic salary: $1,900 – $2,700 (Entitled to overtime / shift work allowances) + Sign-on bonus (T&C apply) Requirements • Minimum NITEC/Diploma in Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, or a related field. • Proficient in basic computer applications (e.g., MS Office, email, internet research). • Able to perform overtime/shift work. Responsibilities: • To work at distillation process plant to make sure distil spent waste material into product. • To ensure distillation process plant operates in safe operation parameters. • To ensure the safety of the transferring of the flammable material. • To ensure close co-ordination with the Laboratory for waste/product sampling. • To ensure the following up of the SOP. • To co-ordinate closely with the Laboratory & resale team for the re-sell items. • To ensure there is sufficient storage capacity, and the product safely stored and treated. • To ensure the performance and efficiency of distillation process plant in terms of the recovery yield and utilities consumption. • Startup/shut down operation of distillation process plant according to SOP. • Record process data and report any deviations. • Identify and rectify process upset and equipment malfunction timely. • Work with engineering to resolve equipment issues and implement preventive measures. • conduct routine inspections for leaks, spills, and safety hazards.
