Job Summary
You will program, set up, and operate CNC turning machines to produce components according to technical drawings, ensuring quality and efficiency in manufacturing processes.
Responsibilities
• Program CNC turning machines using Fanuc Control to meet design specifications
• Interpret technical blueprints and drawings to understand part requirements
• Set up CNC machines, selecting appropriate cutting tools and materials for production
• Adjust machine settings to optimize output while maintaining product quality
• Measure and inspect finished parts using precision tools such as micrometers, height gauges, and calipers to verify conformance to specifications
• Perform regular maintenance and troubleshoot CNC machines to ensure smooth operation
• Maintain detailed records of processes, tool usage, and production output
• Follow safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment
• Collaborate with engineers or designers to customize jobs and improve manufacturing processes
Required competencies and certifications
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Hands-on experience programming and setting CNC Fanuc Control (turning) machines
• Proficient in programming and setting CNC turning machines
• Skilled in performing various threading types including ACME, STUB ACME, and buttress
• Experience working in oil and gas industry manufacturing environments
