R&D MANAGER - ROV & Subsea Survey Operations

• Position: R&D Manager – ROV & Subsea Survey Operations Job Summary Lead research and development initiatives for ROV and subsea survey technologies to enhance project efficiency, safety, and performance. Manage R&D projects and collaborate with operations and technical teams to advance subsea survey systems and capabilities. Responsibilities • Conduct research and evaluate new technologies relevant to offshore, subsea, survey, positioning, and ROV operations to identify innovation opportunities • Develop and implement technical solutions that improve operational efficiency, systems, and processes • Lead R&D projects by planning, testing, evaluating, and implementing new technologies and methods • Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, and technical teams to diagnose technical challenges and deliver effective solutions • Liaise with technology providers, equipment manufacturers, and external partners to support R&D initiatives • Prepare detailed technical reports, feasibility studies, specifications, and recommendations for management decision-making • Monitor industry and technology trends to inform the company’s long-term ROV and subsea technology development strategy • Maintain comprehensive R&D documentation, procedures, and project records to ensure knowledge retention and compliance Preferred competencies and qualifications • Master’s Degree in Science, Engineering, Technology, or a related discipline • Interest or knowledge in offshore, marine, subsea, ROV, survey, or positioning technologies • Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills • Good written and verbal communication skills • Ability to evaluate technical information and develop practical solutions • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
