Sales and Business Development Manager

Role Summary As Sales and Business Development Manager, you will drive revenue growth for Websparks by converting leads into signed projects. The role owns the sales pipeline end to end: disciplined lead follow-up, winning tender and proposal submissions, confident client presentations, and closing deals across government, healthcare, education and enterprise clients. You will bring enough technical depth to lead discovery, shape solutions and engage IT stakeholders credibly, drawing on our delivery team for detailed design. Sales & Deal Closing • Own the full sales cycle from lead qualification through proposal, negotiation and contract close, with a clear focus on converting opportunities into signed projects. • Negotiate commercial terms, including scope, pricing, payment milestones and contractual conditions, to close deals that are profitable and deliverable. • Push stalled opportunities forward by addressing objections, working with decisionmakers, and securing commitments. Lead Management & Follow-Up • Respond to all inbound enquiries promptly and qualify them for budget, timeline, decision-making structure and strategic fit. • Follow up actively and consistently on every open lead, proposal and quotation until it is won, lost or formally closed. No lead should go cold without a documented reason. Tender & Proposal Submissions • Lead the preparation and on-time submission of tenders, quotations, RFIs and RFPs, including government tenders and commercial bids. • Ensure every submission is fully compliant with requirements, well structured, and positions Websparks competitively on both solution and price. • Track tender calendars and deadlines, and maintain a library of reusable proposal content, case studies and credentials. Technical Pre-Sales • Lead technical discovery sessions with clients to uncover business goals, infrastructure constraints, integration requirements and platform gaps they may not yet have articulated. • Translate client requirements into clear solution scopes covering approach, assumptions, deliverables and pricing, with input from delivery leads where needed. • Work with team members to validate technical feasibility and produce realistic timelines and cost estimates. • Prepare and run product demonstrations and solution walkthroughs, including CMS platforms, bespoke applications and integration approaches. Presentations & Client Engagement • Deliver solution presentations, tender clarification sessions and pitches to decision makers • Build relationships at multiple levels within each account (technical, marketing and procurement) and develop internal champions. Handover & Account Growth • Ensure a smooth handover of won projects to the delivery team, with clear documentation of scope, assumptions and commitments. • Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities in existing accounts. • Perform any other duties as assigned by management.
