Job Objective:
• Oversee the MEP team, coordinating with various stakeholders, and ensure the successful implementation of MEP systems within established timelines and quality standards.
Job Descriptions:
· Collaborate with Project Managers to integrate MEP systems into overall project plans.
· Develop MEP project schedules and milestones.
· Lead and manage the MEP team, providing technical guidance and support.
· Cultivate collaboration among MEP team members and other project stakeholders.
· Coordinate with architects and engineers to ensure MEP systems align with project requirements.
· Review and approve MEP designs and drawings.
· Monitor and control costs to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints.
· Source and select MEP contractors, vendors, and suppliers.
· Negotiate contracts and agreements with MEP service providers.
· Implement and monitor quality control measures for MEP installations.
· Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with industry standards.
· Oversee the installation and commissioning of MEP systems.
· Manage MEP project timelines to meet project milestones.
· Ensure adherence to local regulations governing MEP systems.
· Obtain necessary permits and approvals for MEP installations.
· Identify potential risks associated with MEP installations and develop mitigation strategies.
· Implement contingency plans to address unforeseen challenges.
· Liaise with clients, consultants, relevant authorities, and subcontractors regarding M&E issues, ensuring effective communication and problem resolution.
· Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
• Degree in Mechanical & Electrical Engineering or related fields; PE Board recognized degree is preferred.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in the construction industry, with strong M&E project management expertise and at least one completed project cycle.
• Possess Green Mark Accredited Professional (GMAP) certification is a plus.
• Experience with HDB projects is a plus.
• Proficient in Autodesk Revit, BIM software, or other M&E design tools.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and project management skills, with the ability to supervise teams and manage multiple tasks effectively.
• In-depth knowledge of M&E systems, installation methods, and industry standards.
