Senior Tunnel Engineer

Purpose of Job / Job Summary • Coordinate day to day site activities with Tunnel Engineers & crew, while supporting Deputy & Tunnel Manager in planning and execution of tunneling activities. Key Responsibilities/Duties . • Manage site technical matters and resolve construction issues using sound engineering principles. • Plan work, manpower and resources to meet project schedules. • Coordinate with subcontractors, supervisors, surveyors, tunnel operations and consultants. • Monitor site progress and provide regular updates to the Tunnel Manager / Deputy Tunnel Manager. • Ensure construction works comply with QSHE requirements and approved procedures. • Prepare site reports, method statements, material submissions, drawings and permit-to-work documents • Liaise with Design & Technical teams and relevant authorities for drawings, permits and approvals. • Attend progress meetings and prepare minutes. Qualifications: Minimum degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering Experience: Minimum 8 years of engineering experience in the relevant field, and at least 5 years of experience in managing tunneling works of similar scale, complexity and nature of work. Specific skills/abilities: Microsoft Office fluent, CAD fluent, team player, compressed air fit Personal qualities: Active, driven, problem solver
