Chemical/ Wastewater Treatment Technician

Our esteemed client in the Environmental Services industry is seeking a Chemical/ Wastewater Treatment Technician to join their dynamic team: • Employment Type: Permanent • Position: Chemical/ Wastewater Treatment Technician • Location: Tuas (Transport provided) • Working Hours: 5.5 days (Mon to Fri, 8am to 5pm; Sat, 8am to 12pm) – Will change to 12 hours rotating shift after 3 months • Salary Package: Basic + OT + Shift Allowances + Transport Allowance Job Responsibilities: • Operate, monitor, and maintain wastewater treatment equipment and plant facilities. • Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and basic troubleshooting to ensure equipment reliability. • Support daily plant operations, including material transfer and operation of pumps, filtration, and separation equipment. • Ensure all equipment, instruments, and systems are properly maintained, calibrated, and serviced. • Monitor treatment processes to ensure compliance with environmental and regulatory standards. • Maintain accurate operational records and support continuous improvement initiatives. • Observe workplace safety procedures and maintain good housekeeping. • Perform other operational duties as assigned. Job Requirements: • At least NITEC, or equivalent qualification in Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline. • Experience in wastewater treatment, utilities, process plants, manufacturing, or industrial operations is advantageous. • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and computer applications. • Able to perform overtime and shift work when required. • Comfortable working in an industrial plant environment.
