ACCOUNTS ASSISTANT

• Generate and issue customer invoices accurately and in a timely manner • Monitor accounts receivable aging and follow up on overdue accounts, communicate with customers regarding outstanding balances • Process incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures • Performs daily finance operational duties in AR, including preparing of sales invoices (non-trade), taking in receipts, sending statement of accounts. • Prepares Customer Advanced Payment Schedule • Ensures timely and accurate posting of supplier invoices • Ensures payments are made on time • Performs call back to vendors to confirm bank details during bank mapping processPerform vendor & intercompany reconciliation • Department admin & ad-hoc duties assigned from time to time • Contributes to the preparation of quarterly GST filing • Prepares and submits withholding tax filing Minimum Educational Qualifications/ Experience required: • Minimum Diploma in Accounting, Finance or equivalent qualifications • Minimum 1 year of working experience in a similar role Skills and Knowledge required: • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in work • Organised, self-motivated and able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team • Able to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
