Senior Account Manager

AGENCY FOR THE NEXT GEN We are all about the next generation. Next generation of consumers. Next generation of platforms. Next generation of content. Next generation of brands. That’s what gets us up every day. Working with brands to be at the forefront of the next generation. To create relevant and industry-defining work. Whether it’s to better align on the brand’s business challenges, understand the people they need to reach, tell the stories they’ve always wanted to tell or to identify the best direction to get there – when brands work with us, they get a team who knows that if we don’t rethink everything, we change nothing. Website: https://www.dstnct.co/ Culture We’re obsessed with what’s coming next—in culture, platforms, and human behaviour. When brands work with us, they get a team that believes rethinking everything is the only way to change anything. We’re not in advertising. We’re in the business of understanding people, then bringing brands to wherever those people are—physically, virtually, emotionally. What makes us tick? Taking chances. Solving problems. Doing work that challenges conventions and makes life a bit more interesting. The kind of place where your best creative thinking actually gets built. What We Do We obsess over the psychology of our audience — what people are into, their pain-points and motivations, what makes them tick. That has allowed us to transcend conventional channels and take care of a full spectrum of services. • Integrated Marketing • Products and Platforms • Social and Content • Branding • UI/UX • Experiential • Data & Technology Your Role The Senior Account Manager is the most senior hands-on account management role before the step into account leadership. The role sits above the Account Manager and below the Associate Account Director, and carries full ownership of a set of assigned accounts, with the Associate Account Director or Account Director involved in commercial and strategic decisions. You will hold the client relationship day-to-day, shape how each account is run rather than simply keeping it moving, and take responsibility for the quality of what leaves the agency. You will also carry a meaningful share of the team’s development load, acting as the first line of coaching for Account Managers and Account Executives. As DSTNCT takes a social and content-firstapproach to integrated marketing, you will need to be comfortable working across disciplines and confident guiding clients through campaigns that span digital, social, content, experiential and branding. Familiarity with the Singapore public sector environment is an advantage. The Senior Account Manager reports to the Associate Account Director or the Account Director. Key Responsibilities Client Relationship Management • Own the day-to-day relationship on assigned accounts, holding theclient’s confidence without needing senior cover for routine matters. • Anticipate client needs and concerns, resolving issues before they escalate and flagging genuinely sensitive matters upward early. • Lead client meetings, status reviews and campaign presentations independently. • Manage client expectations on scope, timeline and budget, holding a firm and reasonable line where the agency’s interests need protecting. • Apply public sector client conventions correctly, including procurement processes, sensitivity protocols and formal communication standards. Account and Campaign Leadership • Translate client briefs into clear, well-framed internal briefs rather than passing them through unfiltered. • Shape the direction of each campaign alongside strategy and creative, contributing a point of view rather than coordinating one. • Hold the team to the quality of the work, not just the timeline, and push back internally when the work is not good enough. • Push back on client briefs that are off, with a reasoned alternative. • Track platform, category and cultural developments and bring relevant ones into client conversations. Business Development • Identify organic growth opportunities within assigned accounts —expanded scope, additional services, larger budgets — and build the case for them. • Contribute to new business pitches, including research, response writing and presentation support. Team Leadership and Development • Act as the day-to-day coach for Account Managers and Account Executives on assigned accounts. • Delegate with clear ownership, giving team members room to run while retaining accountability for quality. • Give direct, specific feedback in the moment rather than saving it for review cycles. • Support the Associate Account Director on performance reviews and development planning for junior team members. Financial and Operational Management • Own budget and margin tracking on assigned accounts, flagging scope creep and margin erosion early. • Prepare project costings, fee proposals and scope-change documentation, escalating commercial decisions to the Associate Account Director or Account Director. • Maintain accurate project tracking on Monday.com and ensure agency operational processes are followed by the wider account team. • Work with operations on resourcing and scheduling across your accounts. Cross-functionalCollaboration • Partner with creative, strategy and production to deliver integrated campaigns that meet the brief and the standard. • Coordinate across creative, content, social, experiential, UI/UX and data disciplines on multi-channel work. • Act as the connective tissue between client and internal teams, ensuring briefs are clear, feedback is actioned and timelines hold. Required Skills & Experience • Minimum 6–7 years of account management experience within an integrated marketing, advertising or creative agency, including time at Account Manager level. • Track record of owning client relationships independently, including inmulti-stakeholder environments. • Experience with public sector clients in Singapore is an advantag…
