R&D Laboratory Technician | UHPC / Construction Materials

R&D Laboratory Technician | UHPC / Concrete / Precast Primary Focus : Concrete and Precast | Laboratory Testing | Sample Preparation | Materials Handling | Quality Control Key Responsibilities • Support Engineers with UHPC research, development and laboratory testing activities. • Conduct compression, flexural and RCPT tests, QC checks and record test results accurately. • Prepare, demold, label and track concrete samples through curing and testing. • Manage curing tanks and monitor temperature, humidity and pH in testing areas. • Handle R&D materials including cement, sand, SCMs, admixtures and fibers , including material preparation, replenishment and inventory tracking. • Produce blended materials for R&D trials , customer samples and small-volume production. • Maintain laboratory equipment, molds, tools and testing areas to required housekeeping and safety standards. • Perform basic troubleshooting of laboratory equipment and escalate technical issues when required. • Maintain daily laboratory records and support continuous improvement activities. • Assist with other R&D and laboratory activities as required. Requirements • Diploma / NITEC or equivalent in a technical discipline. • 1–3 years of experience in laboratory, technician, production or construction-materials environments. • Experience with concrete, precast, construction materials or laboratory testing is advantageous. • Familiarity with sample preparation, material handling and basic testing procedures. • Able to maintain accurate records and follow established testing and safety procedures. • Comfortable with hands-on laboratory work and handling materials weighing up to 20 kg.
