WSH Coordinator

Roles & Responsibilities • Implement and ensure compliance with the WSH Act and all related statutory legal legislations to maintain workplace safety. • Conduct daily site inspections, identify hazards, and take corrective actions; prepare detailed inspection reports for project team follow-up. • Investigate accidents and incidents, produce comprehensive reports, and recommend effective remedial actions to prevent recurrence. • Deliver in-house safety training sessions and lead daily toolbox meetings to promote safety awareness among workers. • Perform risk assessments to identify and mitigate safety hazards on site proactively. • Collaborate closely with Workplace Safety and Health Officers (WSHO) and safety personnel to uphold compliance standards. • Apply for and manage permits to work prior to commencement of tasks to ensure authorized and safe operations. • Participate actively in mass safety talks and safety promotion activities to foster a culture of safety. Required competencies and certifications • WSQ in Workplace Safety and Health. • WSQ Advanced Certificate in Workplace Safety and Health. Preferred competencies and qualifications • Team-oriented with strong attention to detail and organizational skills. • Ability to present a professional image and act in the best interests of the Company. • Availability to start work immediately or within short notice.
