Job Description & Requirements
Panwood Pte Ltd , established in 1987, is a Singapore-based maritime and manufacturing company supporting vessel owners with marine equipment, technical supplies and vessel operations.
We are seeking a Boarding Assembler – Marine Equipment to perform assembly, fitting, installation support and technical verification of marine equipment and components supplied to vessels.
Main Duties
• Assemble and prepare marine equipment, mechanical components and manufactured parts prior to vessel delivery.
• Conduct fitting, fastening, alignment and basic mechanical assembly of components according to drawings, specifications and work instructions.
• Board vessels at berth or anchorage to carry out installation and assembly support.
• Assist with installation, replacement and fitting of supplied mechanical parts and equipment onboard vessels.
• Conduct visual inspection and basic functional checks after assembly or installation.
• Verify correct quantity, model, dimensions and condition of components before and after installation.
• Identify assembly defects, missing components or installation issues and report them to the Team Leader.
• Use appropriate hand tools and measuring tools for assembly and fitting work.
• Prepare equipment, tools and components required for vessel boarding jobs.
• Maintain assembly, installation and inspection records for completed work.
• Coordinate with vessel crew during boarding only insofar as necessary to carry out the assembly/installation work safely and efficiently.
• Assist with loading, unloading and safe handling of equipment and components required for installation.
• Follow company WSH procedures and vessel safety requirements at all times.
Secondary Duties
• Assist the technical and logistics teams with the movement of components required for vessel jobs.
• Coordinate boarding time, launch boat arrangements and delivery schedules relating to assigned assembly work.
• Support basic technical inspection and testing of assembled components.
• Perform other assembly/manufacturing-related duties assigned by the Team Leader.
Requirements
• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred.
• Mechanical assembly, fitting or marine technical experience preferred.
• Able to read basic engineering drawings and equipment specifications.
• Comfortable working onboard vessels and in marine environments.
• Willing to work flexible hours depending on vessel schedules.
• Able to use common hand tools and measuring equipment.
• Good safety awareness and ability to follow technical instructions.
