Prompt Engineer (Ref 101)

Responsibilities: • Design and maintain structured prompts, templates, and output schemas aligned to product and stakeholder requirements. • Define expected outputs, constraints, and completion criteria for deliverables; document assumptions, edge cases, and limitations. • Apply LLM best practices (context management, instruction hierarchy, few-shot examples) to improve accuracy and consistency. • Test and debug prompt behavior through iterative experimentation; analyze failures and reduce hallucinations and variability. • Create evaluation approaches (test sets, rubrics, human review workflows) and track quality over time. • Implement Prompt Ops practices: version control, change management, documentation, and release processes for prompt assets.
