Job purpose:
As a Graduate Intern, you will gain exposure to regional Finance activities and work alongside experienced Finance professionals supporting business performance management across Asia. Key responsibilities include:
• Support the preparation and analysis of management financial reports for branches and subsidiaries across Asia.
• Assist in revenue and cost segmentation to support accurate performance measurement and management reporting.
• Contribute to the delivery of reporting for Corporate Clients and Treasury businesses, including opportunities to enhance reporting processes and data quality.
• Support cost allocation activities, Head Office reporting requirements, and other Finance reporting obligations.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and multi-year planning activities, where applicable.
• Perform financial analysis and develop business insights to support performance monitoring and business growth initiatives.
• Collaborate with Finance and business stakeholders on projects aimed at improving reporting, processes, and operational efficiency.
• Support adherence to internal policies, governance standards, and regulatory requirements while demonstrating the highest standards of integrity and professionalism.

Key activities:
• Support monthly performance management and reporting processes, including revenue and cost allocations for Segmental Reporting (SPOT) and Head Office reporting requirements.
• Assist in the preparation of management reporting and financial analysis for business units, ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of financial information.
• Contribute to business performance reviews by analysing financial results and helping to identify key revenue, cost, and profitability drivers.
• Support the identification and resolution of process, operational, and control issues in collaboration with Finance and business stakeholders.
• Develop an understanding of business performance across products and entities and provide meaningful insights to support decision-making.
• Participate in initiatives to enhance reporting processes, improve data quality, and drive operational efficiencies through automation and process optimisation.
• Collaborate with regional and local stakeholders on finance, governance, and reporting-related matters.
• Support ad hoc analyses, governance initiatives, and Finance projects as required.
Formal education:
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Statistics, Data Analytics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Strong academic record with demonstrated analytical and quantitative capabilities.
Specialist knowledge (work experience, further qualification):
Technical Skills
• Foundational knowledge of Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related disciplines acquired through academic studies.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Strong digital literacy and proficiency in leveraging AI-powered tools and technologies to enhance productivity, data analysis, research, reporting, and problem-solving.
• Familiarity with data analytics and visualization tools (e.g. Power BI, Power Query, Alteryx) is advantageous.
• Exposure to financial reporting, data analytics, or ERP systems (e.g. SAP) would be beneficial but is not required.
