OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY PROFESSIONAL

Job Description We are seeking a responsible and experienced Occupational Health and Safety Professional to oversee workplace health and safety matters and ensure compliance with relevant occupational safety and health requirements. Key Responsibilities • Develop, implement and maintain workplace safety and health policies, procedures and programmes. • Conduct regular workplace inspections, safety audits and risk assessments. • Identify workplace hazards and recommend appropriate control measures. • Monitor and ensure compliance with applicable Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) regulations and company safety requirements. • Conduct safety briefings, toolbox meetings and training for employees and workers. • Investigate workplace incidents, accidents and near misses, and prepare investigation reports and corrective action plans. • Monitor the implementation of safety measures at work sites and ensure workers follow safe work practices. • Maintain proper records and documentation relating to workplace safety, risk assessments, inspections, incidents and training. • Coordinate with management, supervisors, workers, contractors and relevant authorities on safety and health matters. • Advise management and project teams on occupational safety and health requirements. • Ensure appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is provided and properly used. • Assist in emergency preparedness, emergency response procedures and drills. • Follow up on safety observations, non-conformities and corrective actions until closure. • Perform any other safety-related duties assigned by management. Requirements • Diploma/Degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Workplace Safety and Health, Environmental Health & Safety or a related field. • Min 4 yrs of experince in this field. • Relevant professional qualifications or certifications in Workplace Safety and Health will be an advantage. • Relevant experience in construction, engineering or industrial environments preferred. • Good knowledge of workplace safety practices, risk assessment and incident investigation. • Good communication and interpersonal skills. • Ability to work independently and coordinate effectively with workers, supervisors and management. • Good documentation and report-writing skills. • Willingness to work at project/work sites and attend site safety activities when required. • Work Location : Tanah Merah Staging Ground • Reclamation Job with 100% commitment • Need to be available always while needed • 24hrs shift work Key Skills • Workplace Safety & Health Management • Risk Assessment • Hazard Identification • Safety Inspection & Audit • Incident Investigation • Safety Training & Toolbox Meetings • Safety Documentation & Reporting • Regulatory Compliance • Emergency Preparedness • PPE Management • Communication & Coordination
