Strategic Account Director

The Opportunity We’re hiring an Account Director to own the growth and long-term success of some of Hupo’s most important enterprise clients in Asia. This is a mid to senior, commercially accountable role. You will build trusted relationships with executive stakeholders, ensure clients achieve meaningful business outcomes, and identify opportunities to expand Hupo across new teams, use cases, markets, and products. You will operate at the intersection of commercial strategy, client leadership, and execution—working closely with Product, Engineering, Deployment, and Customer Success to turn ambitious ideas into successful enterprise-wide programmes. This role is ideal for someone who combines strong commercial instincts with the ability to navigate complex organisations and make things happen. What You’ll Own Account growth and retention • Own and exceed expansion revenue targets across your portfolio. • Drive strong net revenue retention through successful renewals, upsells, and cross-sells. • Develop and execute strategic account plans that identify new stakeholders, business units, markets, and use cases. • Build a clear expansion strategy for each account and maintain a high-quality, actionable pipeline. • Lead commercial conversations, including proposals, negotiations, renewals, and multi-year expansion agreements. Executive client relationships • Build trusted relationships with senior business, technology, and procurement stakeholders. • Develop a deep understanding of each client’s priorities, operating environment, and measures of success. • Act as a strategic advisor, connecting Hupo’s capabilities to clients’ broader transformation and growth objectives. • Navigate complex stakeholder groups and build strong internal champions for Hupo. • Lead executive business reviews and communicate outcomes, risks, recommendations, and opportunities clearly. Client outcomes and execution • Own the overall health and success of your accounts, from onboarding and deployment through adoption, renewal, and expansion. • Define clear success measures with clients and ensure Hupo demonstrates measurable business impact. • Coordinate teams across Product, Engineering, Deployment, and Customer Success to deliver high-impact programmes. • Maintain visibility over delivery progress, dependencies, risks, and stakeholder expectations. • Step in decisively when projects require escalation, alignment, or additional momentum. Market and product insight • Help shape Hupo’s enterprise account strategy and regional expansion across Asia. • Share repeatable account-management practices that strengthen the wider team as we scale. What We’re Looking For • A proven track record in enterprise account management, strategic sales, customer success, consulting, or another client-facing commercial role. • Previous ownership of a revenue, expansion, or retention target. • Experience growing complex enterprise accounts through renewals, upsells, cross-sells, or regional expansion. • Confidence engaging and influencing senior stakeholders across business and technology functions. • Strong commercial judgment and the ability to connect client needs to revenue opportunities. • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder-management skills. • The ability to create structure in ambiguous situations and drive multiple priorities forward. • A strong sense of ownership—you follow through, address problems early, and hold yourself accountable for outcomes. • Comfort operating in a fast-moving environment where responsibilities evolve as the company grows. • Fluency in English and the ability to work effectively across cultures and markets. • Based in Singapore or Hong Kong. Particularly Relevant Experience While we do not expect candidates to match every point, the following would be valuable: • Experience in enterprise SaaS, AI, financial services, consulting, or digital transformation. • Experience working with banks, insurers, or other highly regulated enterprises. • Experience managing multi-market or regional client relationships across Asia. • Familiarity with enterprise technology deployments involving Product and Engineering teams. • Experience working in a startup or scale-up environment. Why Join Hupo? • Join one of the region’s fastest-growing enterprise AI companies at a pivotal stage of its growth. • Own strategic relationships with leading global and Fortune 500 enterprises. • Take on meaningful commercial responsibility and directly influence Hupo’s growth. • Work closely with senior leaders across Product, AI, Engineering, and go-to-market. • Help shape how a category-defining AI product is deployed across complex global organisations. • Work with smart, kind, highly ambitious people who care deeply about doing excellent work. • Take on stretch opportunities that accelerate your learning and career progression. • Receive a competitive salary, performance-based compensation, equity, and a clear path into broader leadership.
