Site Manager – Building & Structural Steel Job Responsibilities • Manage and supervise daily site operations for building construction and structural steel works. • Coordinate structural steel erection, installation, alignment, connection and related building works. • Supervise subcontractors, workers and suppliers to ensure works follow the approved drawings, specifications and method statements. • Read and interpret architectural, structural and shop drawings . • Plan and monitor work schedules, manpower, materials and equipment. • Coordinate with Project Manager, consultants, subcontractors and clients. • Monitor work progress, quality and site safety. • Attend site meetings and provide progress updates. • Identify and resolve site technical and coordination issues. • Ensure structural steel works are carried out safely and according to approved requirements. BCA guidance specifically recognises structural-steel supervision as requiring suitably trained and experienced personnel. • Prepare daily/weekly site reports and monitor project documentation. Requirements • Minimum 5–8 years of relevant site management/supervision experience . • Strong experience in building construction and structural steel works . • Able to read and understand structural drawings, shop drawings and architectural drawings . • Good knowledge of Singapore construction practices, safety requirements and site coordination. • Able to speak Mandarin/Chinese fluently to communicate with Chinese-speaking workers, subcontractors and management. • Able to communicate in English for coordination with consultants, clients and authorities. • Good leadership, problem-solving and coordination skills. • Relevant Singapore safety certifications will be an advantage.
