Procurement Manager (Electronic/Semiconductor - manufacturing)

We're looking for an experienced Procurement Manager to lead a team of sourcing professionals and drive strategic procurement across mechanical components, fabrication, and contract manufacturing for a leading semiconductor equipment company. What you'll do: • Lead and manage a procurement team, driving performance on cost, quality, delivery, and supplier reliability • Build and execute sourcing strategies for mechanical components, fabricated parts, precision machining, sheet metal, assemblies, automation equipment, and contract manufacturing • Own supplier selection, qualification, performance management, and development initiatives • Lead contract negotiations and commercial discussions, building long-term strategic supplier partnerships • Work closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Operations, and NPI teams to support business growth • Review engineering drawings, technical specs, BOMs, and manufacturing requirements to ensure supplier capabilities align • Identify and implement cost reduction opportunities — value engineering, VAVE, supplier consolidation, localisation, process improvements • Manage supplier capacity planning, risk assessment, and business continuity to ensure supply resilience • Drive operational excellence through Lean, Kaizen, GEMBA, and continuous improvement initiatives • Set procurement KPIs and track supplier performance on cost, quality, delivery, responsiveness, and compliance • Coach, mentor, and develop team members to build a high-performing procurement function • Support cross-functional projects, product transfers, and new product introductions • What we're looking for: • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline • Minimum 8 years in procurement, sourcing, commodity management, or supply chain in a manufacturing environment • At least 3 years leading procurement/sourcing teams • Solid knowledge of precision machining, sheet metal fabrication, mechanical assemblies, contract manufacturing, manufacturing cost drivers, and engineering drawing/GD&T interpretation • Proven track record in supplier negotiations, contract management, and cost reduction • Strong grasp of strategic sourcing methodologies and supplier performance management • ERP/MRP system experience (e.g. SAP) • Strong stakeholder management, leadership, negotiation, and communication skills • Semiconductor equipment, automation, electronics manufacturing, OEM/ODM, or contract manufacturing experience is a plus • For interested applicants, kindly send your resume in Word/PDF format to include the following in your resume including: 1.
