Technical Support Engineer / Product Trainer (Valves)

Location: Singapore Office Employment Type: Full-Time About the Role We are looking for a dedicated and technically astute Sales Technical Support Engineer / Product Trainer to join our Singapore team. In this pivotal role, you will act as the bridge between technical product expertise and our sales force (both indoor and outdoor teams). You will empower our sales staff through targeted technical training while driving commercial success by providing critical pre- and post-sales engineering support for complex valve projects, bids, and tenders. Key Responsibilities • Technical Training & Capability Building: Design and deliver comprehensive product and technical training sessions (1 to 2 times per month) covering valve structures, types, materials, applications, and industry standards. • Tender & Bidding Support: Collaborate closely with the sales team during the project bidding phase to review requirements, complete technical clarifications, and provide General Arrangement Drawings (GAD) where applicable. • Post-PO Technical Execution: Support the order execution phase by resolving complex technical specifications and conducting deep-dive technical clarifications with clients. • Client Consultation: Lead technical discussions and presentations with clients through face-to-face meetings and online platforms to build trust and secure project wins. • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with regional leadership and global headquarters (HQ) on technical initiatives, reporting, and ad-hoc strategic tasks. Requirements & Qualifications • Education: Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related discipline preferred. • Industry Experience: Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in the valve industry (or closely related fluid control/industrial equipment sectors). • Technical Acumen: Solid understanding of industrial valves, materials, and engineering drawings. • Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong customer-centric approach. • Soft Skills: Professional, positive attitude, highly self-motivated, and capable of working independently while thriving in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment. • Drive: High-energy level with a competitive, results-driven mindset to help the team win bids.
