Finance Executive (Financial Services)

About the Company A leading regional financial services and insurance solutions provider. About the Job • Operational Integration: Function as a key team member within Finance Operations, reporting directly to the Finance Operations Manager while proactively escalating complex operational roadblocks. • Process Improvement: Drive operational and digital transformation by identifying manual bottlenecks and proposing automation solutions. • Reconciliation & Unallocated Funds: Resolve unidentified receipts by matching them to corresponding policy or broker accounts, and perform daily SGD and multi-currency bank reconciliations. • Credit Control & Collections: Track overdue premium balances, analyze aged receivables reports, and engage brokers, agents, and policyholders to settle outstanding accounts. • Policy Enforcement & Cross-Functional Alignment: Investigate payment discrepancies, enforce credit control guidelines (including escalating overdue accounts and advising suspensions), and align with underwriting and distribution teams. • Disbursements & Payment Execution: Process vendor invoices, customer refunds, reinsurance settlements, and broker commissions while ensuring strict compliance with the Delegation of Authority (DOA). • Banking Operations: Liaise with financial institutions to address failed transactions, rejected payments, and banking system queries. • Issue Resolution & Peak Operations: Maintain full accountability for operational troubleshooting (e.g., unallocated payments and failed transactions) while delivering precise results under tight month-end deadlines. Skills and Requirements • Proven experience in finance operations, credit control, or accounting functions within the insurance or financial services sector. • Hands-on familiarity with core insurance accounting software (experience with Odyssey 5 is advantageous) and online banking systems. • Demonstrated knowledge of premium collection channels (GIRO, credit cards, PayNow, bank transfers) and bank reconciliation procedures. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on resolving payment discrepancies and unallocated receipts. • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams, brokers, and policyholders. • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, manage tight month-end schedules, and embrace continuous digital transformation.
