Psychologist, Paediatrics (CDU) - Contract*(10424)

Overview and purpose of the position The Psychologist is required to provide psychometric assessments and intervention programmes for patients within the Child Development Unit of the Department of Paediatrics. He/ She will be involved in data collection and analysis to support research and inform psychoeducational programmes. The Psychologist works under the supervision of a Senior Psychologist. Responsibilities and Duties • To conduct appropriate psychometric assessments and result interpretation for referred patients. • To accurately document assessment findings and make appropriate recommendations. • To develop, implement and evaluate appropriate intervention / group programmes for referred patients. • To develop materials for teaching and training. • To provide in-service training for department staff as needed. • To provide specialised teaching and supervision to psychology interns on clinical attachment. • To contribute to team level operational tasks. • To participate in research projects as a member of the research team, as appropriate. • To provide expertise for queries from magazines, newspapers or other forms of media from our Corporate Communications department.
