Secondary Math Specialist Teacher

Tired of admin work drowning out your love for teaching Mathematics? Build the teaching career path you actually want, with stable pay and the chance to shape youths and their Mathematics journey. We are looking for experienced professionals and passionate Mathematics lovers who care as much about the magic of the learning experience as they do about helping their students excel in the subject. [About Our Team] At The Pique Lab, we’re on a mission to create the best Math & Science learning experience for students aged 9 to 16 in Singapore. Our lessons are meticulously crafted based on pedagogical research, data-driven methodologies and have one overarching goal: to make learning fun, shorten learning curves and help students develop a genuine appreciation for Math & Science . Over the past decade, we've grown from a pair of co-founders to a diverse team of over 100 team members across 10 departments. Our proprietary learning methodology and examination-centric materials have helped more than 20,000 students ace their examinations. Our headquarters is in Singapore, with remote teams in China, India, Malaysia and the Philippines. We take pride in our open, fast-paced and flat organisational structure where every team member is valued for their skills and competencies, not just their job titles. [Your Role] As part of the Specialist Development Programme, you will be involved in: • Honing Your Teaching Craft : You'll collaborate with our team to apply the best pedagogical practices for our students, continuously refining lessons together. We handle the scheduling and service-related communications, so you can focus on what matters: teaching, marking and helping your students grow through your targeted feedback. • Sharing Prior Industry Experiences: Our students are always curious about what they see around them. In your classes (online & onsite), you can bring your prior industry experience into the classroom, enriching how students connect learning to the real world. • Extend Your Impact Beyond the Classroom: Your teaching doesn't have to stop when the lesson ends. Share your expertise with even more students locally and internationally through articles and videos, growing your impact beyond your own classes. [Your Growth] Your success as a Teaching Specialist means a lot to us. In your first few months, we'll work with you to understand your career aspirations and map out how your existing experience feeds into our curriculum. When we are ready for the next stage together, you can look forward to exploring various self-initiated projects (not limited to curriculum) where we'll work closely with you to develop them. [You, Our Ideal Teaching Specialist] We’d love to have a chat with you if you meet the following criteria: Required: • Strong Background in Mathematics : You have a solid grasp of the subject, demonstrated at the primary/secondary level and can simplify complex mathematical concepts. Added bonus if you majored in Mathematics, Statistics or Engineering at university. • Prior Teaching Experience : You have some teaching experience - be it commercial experience (e.g. teaching in MOE schools, learning centres or private tuition) OR volunteering experience (e.g. coaching kids in after-school care centres). [Your Welfare] • [Biggest Benefit] Flexible Work Arrangement: Outside of class commitments, your weekday schedule is yours to manage. No onsite classes that day? No need to come into the office. • Competitive Remuneration, including a base salary plus a variable pay (which scales based on your contributions) and CPF! • Annual Performance Bonus • Medical, Dental & Vision Benefits • Technology Benefits • Up to 16 Days of Paid Vacation Leaves • Paid Birthday Leave • Paid Marriage Leaves • Paid Compassionate Leaves • Time-Off From Work For Errands • Wellness Breaks • Fully-Stocked Pantry • Free Meals on selected school holidays & weekends • Company Socials (On top of team socials!) [Take Note] • We respect your time commitment with us. As such, you'll be paid full salary , even during your training period. :) • There are no part-time positions due to the amount of resources required to groom teachers to excellence. • We specialise in Science & Math and will continue to deepen our expertise in these areas within the next 3 to 5 years. If teaching Science and/or Math is your vocation, or you’re keen to catapult your teaching career with specialisations in these subjects, we would love to have you.
