Whole School Arts Teacher (MUAR, JOHOR)

This vacancy is suitable for a child-centred, inspirational, and passionate candidate that has the skills and abilities to impart the love for Art to learners from age 4 to 17 years old. Key Responsibilities: - Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Arts lessons for students across the whole school, from Primary to Secondary, aligned with the Cambridge International Education (CIE) curriculum and school requirements. - Develop engaging and creative lesson plans with clear learning objectives, expected outcomes, and appropriate differentiation strategies. - Apply a variety of teaching and learning approaches to accommodate different abilities, learning styles, interests, and individual student needs. - Encourage students to explore and develop their creativity through a range of artistic disciplines, techniques, materials, and media. - Develop students’ knowledge and skills in areas such as drawing, painting, mixed media, design, visual communication, and creative expression, as appropriate to their age and level. - Develop, review, and update curriculum materials, schemes of work, and learning resources to support students’ artistic development and reflect current educational practices. - Ensure progression, continuity, and appropriate development of artistic skills across different year groups and levels. - Collaborate with colleagues across the school to support interdisciplinary projects and integrate the Arts into wider learning experiences. Candidate Requirements: - Malaysian citizen. - Possess a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts with teaching qualifications, or equivalent (or Bachelors of Fine Arts with a Postgraduate Diploma in Teaching) - Minimum 2 years of teaching experience, preferably in an international school setting. - Strong command of English, with confidence in delivering instruction and communicating effectively in English. - Experience teaching Art across Primary and Secondary levels is highly desirable. - Familiar with the Cambridge International Education (CIE) curriculum and relevant assessment outcomes. - Demonstrates strong artistic knowledge, creativity, and the ability to inspire students to explore and develop their individual artistic abilities. - Passionate about working with children and young people and committed to nurturing creativity, confidence, and self-expression. - Strong classroom management, communication, organisation, and lesson-planning skills. - Willing to contribute to school-wide exhibitions, events, competitions, productions, and other co-curricular creative activities. - Possesses no criminal record and is physically and mentally fit for a teaching career. - Willing to work based in Muar, Johor.
