Overview
As an Audit Senior/Assistant Manager, you will lead audit engagements for a diverse client portfolio, ensuring compliance with auditing standards and best practices. You will act as a trusted advisor, delivering reliable, thorough, and efficient audit and assurance services while fostering strong client relationships.
Key responsibilities
• Oversee and manage end-to-end audit process for clients, ensuring audits are completed on time, within budget and adherence to regulatory requirements
• Review and analyze financial statements, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, MFRS) and applicable laws
• Conduct thorough risk assessments and evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls
• Prepare detailed audit reports, highlighting key findings, issues, and recommendations for management and stakeholders
• Present audit findings to senior management, boards, and external stakeholders, offering insights on improvements and risk mitigation strategies
• Lead and mentor junior auditors, providing guidance on audit methodologies, technical skills, and career development
Education and professional skills / knowledge
Experience & Education:
• A recognized degree in Accounting or equivalent with a Professional Accounting qualification and / or membership in Malaysian Institute of Accountants
• At least 1 year of working experience, preferably in professional services environment for senior associate
• More than 3 years of working experience, preferably in a professional services environment, with at least 1 year of experience in leading and managing teams for assistant manager
Other skills:
• Analytical mindset and possess leadership qualities
• Good communication and people management skills
• Able to manage multiple engagements and deadlines
• Strong drive to excel professionally and ability to guide and motivate team members
• Strong written and verbal command of English
• Proficient in MS Office - Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook
