RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER

Responsible to lead the conceptualization, design, and development of innovative new products, technologies, or structural processes. This role sits at the intersection of scientific curiosity and practical engineering, translating cutting-edge research into market-ready solutions while continuously improving our existing current product. Manage the new product operations and driving the continuous improvement culture and ensuring compliance with operational policies. Job-specific functions: • Product & Technology Innovation: Conceptualize, design, and prototype next-generation products or components based on emerging technologies and market insights. • Research & Feasibility Studies: Conduct thorough scientific research, literature reviews, and feasibility testing to validate initial engineering hypotheses. • Testing & Validation: Design rigorous testing protocols, execute experimental designs, and analyse data to validate performance, durability, safety, and regulatory compliance • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with Product Management, Manufacturing, Marketing, and Quality Assurance teams to transition designs seamlessly from concept to high-volume production. • Continuous Improvement: Evaluate existing production methods and legacy products, implementing iterative enhancements to optimize performance, lower costs, or boost sustainability • Communicate with customers on technical data related to this new product and participate in customer claim issues • Investigate production issues and implement corrective and preventive actions. • Foster a positive Japanese workplace culture focused on teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement (kaizen) Job details • Salary: RM 9,000 a month • Contract: Contract • Working hours: Normal Hour • Openings: 1 • Closes: 2026-11-07 About MARUWA (MALAYSIA) SDN BHD (More than 250 employees) We value people : We consider that a company continously grows by valuing personality and strenght of individuals.
