Job Description:
Purpose of the Role:
The Associate Director, Market Access & Pricing will support the JAPAC region’s business by supporting day-to-day execution of BeOne’s market access and pricing activities across affiliate and partnership markets.
Partnering closely with the GVAP Region Lead, GVAP Global Leads, affiliate teams, Global Pricing, Finance and Commercial, the role supports pricing proposals, coordinates pricing governance workflow and ensures decisions are compliant, well-evidenced, auditable and strategically aligned. The role also enables timely access outcomes by supporting launch readiness activities, commercialisation tracking and reporting across the JAPAC portfolio.
Approximately 60% of the role is dedicated to regional pricing execution and governance, with the remaining 40% focused on launch readiness, tracking and access operations.
Key Responsibilities
Regional Pricing Execution & Governance (approximately 60% of role)
• Work directly with country affiliates to support opportunity assessments, business cases and pricing proposal preparation.
• Validate the completeness and pricing integrity of country proposals, including price waterfalls, financial inputs, supporting analyses and Grant of Authority (GOA) interpretation, before governance review.
• Leads preparation of the pricing components of the governance workflow, including pricing analyses, committee materials, draft recommendations and decision documentation; support the GVAP Region Lead in coordinating the end-to-end regional governance process.
• Develop evidence-based pricing analyses and draft recommendations for the GVAP Region Lead, who owns the regional GVAP recommendation to the Region Pricing Committee.
• Maintains pricing strategy reference documents and liaises with Global Pricing Analytics to ensure approvals, decisions and supporting materials are captured in global pricing systems for auditability.
• Provides pricing-specific input to local payer engagements, while the GVAP Region Lead retains ownership of the regional value narrative and overall JAPAC access strategy.
• Develop region-specific pricing tools and localised pricing guidance, including defining, procuring and managing regional pricing research, in alignment with global strategy and the GVAP Region Lead.
• Maintain pricing inputs for negotiation-outcome, access-status and reimbursement pull-through tracking, enabling the GVAP Region Lead to monitor regional execution and feed implications back to global teams.
• Advise the GVAP Region Lead when proposals may create cross-regional impact, new price floors, non-standard models, KSM exposure or strategy-deviation risks; prepare the pricing evidence required for escalation to senior pricing governance.
• Support the GVAP Region Lead with pricing-specific adaptations to the global access and pricing strategy, including region-specific pricing tools, access solutions and pricing research.
• Conduct pricing reviews across public and private reimbursement channels and other access mechanisms, including patient assistance and early access programs, in accordance with applicable governance and compliance requirements.
Launch Readiness, Tracking & Access Operations (approximately 40% of role)
• Maintains JAPAC inputs into a commercialisation tracker covering submissions, reimbursement and launch timelines, relevant competitor HTA outcomes and reimbursement status, including appropriate use of automation and AI to populated the data.
• Supports country teams in responding to HTA body questions, working in close alignment with JAPAC HEOR, GVAP, regulatory, medical and biostatistics teams, and systematically organises key HTA questions and BeOne responses into an internal knowledge repository to support future launches, indications and best-practice sharing.
• Provides input into HEOR programs to support pricing, reimbursement and uptake strategies.
• Aggregate monthly access and pricing reporting to inform JAPAC cross-functional stakeholders, with strategic interpretation and escalation led by the GVAP Region Lead.
• undefined
