[Early Advert] Research Fellow (Experimental free-electron-driven X-ray nanophotonics)

Wong Group on X-ray & Free Electron Quantum Nanophotonics is one of the leading research groups in the world on X-ray photonics, having been recognized as a 2024 Falling Walls Winner in Physical Sciences for “Breaking the Wall of Quantum X-ray Tech” by the Falling Walls Foundation. [Group website: https://sites.google.com/view/ljwgroup ] We are seeking a Research Fellow to spearhead cutting-edge research in the experimental study of free-electron-driven X-ray photonics, with the goal of using such a source to achieve X-ray phase-contrast imaging on a table-top scale. Key Responsibilities: • Perform experiments on free-electron-driven X-ray nanophotonics and phase-contrast imaging in customized scanning electron microscope (SEM) and transmission electron microscope (TEM) setups • Lead papers and publish in high-impact journals • Present at top-tier international conferences Job Requirements: • PhD degree in physics, engineering or related field • Familiarity with vacuum electronics and free-electron-based devices We regret to inform you that only shortlisted candidates will be notified.
