Integrated Strategy Director

Location : APAC / Remote Engagement : 12-month fixed-term contract Format : Remote/Hybrid Travel : Regional travel required About the Project We’re looking for a Integrated Strategy Director to become an embedded strategic partner to a global hospitality brand growing in APAC. This is the first and most important hire within a broader new creative and content capability. You’ll sit close to the client’s leadership team, deeply understand the business, and help turn commercial priorities, audience insight and cultural signals into a clear strategic direction for the brand’s mid-funnel programme. The ambition is bigger than campaign planning. The opportunity spans brand strategy, creative development, always-on content, influencers, production and brand governance, with a significant opportunity to unlock more commercial value from the content already being created. You’ll be expected to bring the perspective of an excellent agency strategist while operating with the closeness, context and accountability of an in-house partner. About the Role Brand & Business Strategy • Partner with senior client stakeholders to understand business priorities, commercial objectives, audience needs and brand challenges. • Shape the annual strategic roadmap and priorities for the APAC mid-funnel programme. • Translate business needs, consumer insight, cultural signals and performance data into clear strategic recommendations and inspiring briefs. • Identify opportunities to connect activity across the customer journey and unlock incremental commercial impact. • Bring strong outside-in thinking and challenge category conventions where it can strengthen the brand. • Use measurement, market signals and learning loops to continuously improve the strategic direction. Integrated Strategy & Creative Partnership • Lead integrated thinking across brand, creative, content, influencers, media and performance. • Work closely with the Creative Director to turn strategy into emotionally resonant, culturally relevant work. • Develop and constructively challenge ideas to ensure they are distinctive, audience-led and commercially meaningful. • Connect ATL and BTL thinking rather than treating channels and programmes in isolation. • Personally develop and present compelling leadership decks, strategic narratives and recommendations. • Make complex thinking clear and help senior stakeholders confidently make decisions. Brand Governance & Ways of Working • Help shape a clearer operating model between APAC/corporate teams and individual hotel teams. • Identify where better processes, systems, tools or governance could reduce friction and protect brand consistency. • Bring structure to briefing, approvals, roles, responsibilities and decision-making. • Help create ways of working that are centrally governed but scalable across local markets. • Partner with MASH and wider specialists as the future governance and technology model develops. About You • You bring significant senior experience across brand strategy, integrated marketing, communications planning or strategic planning, ideally across multiple markets. • You have worked with premium consumer brands and understand how culture, creativity and commercial performance connect. • You can take a complex business challenge and turn it into a clear strategic response, inspiring brief and focused action. • You understand how brand, creative, content, creators, media and performance work together to build consideration. • You are an exceptional storyteller and presentation builder, with the confidence to lead senior conversations and sell an idea. • You know how to challenge constructively while remaining a trusted partner. • You are commercially minded and naturally look for opportunities to deliver more value rather than simply answering the brief. • You are comfortable with ambiguity and can bring clarity, structure and momentum without overcomplicating things. • Experience across fashion, sport, luxury, lifestyle, beauty, FMCG or other culturally progressive consumer categories would be particularly interesting. • Hospitality experience is welcome, but it is not required. We are deliberately interested in perspectives from outside traditional hospitality.
