Frequently asked questions
How AJOS finds jobs, what is free, and what happens to your data.
The jobs
What is AJOS?
AJOS (Automated Job Opportunity Seeker) is a free tool that finds open jobs in Malaysia and Singapore for you. It is not a job board: it does not post jobs or take applications. It collects openings from employers and sends you to the employer’s own page to apply.
Where do the jobs come from?
The Employers tab is collected every day from companies’ own career sites (Workday, Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, SmartRecruiters, Oracle Cloud, Workable, BambooHR, Breezy HR, Recruitee, Personio, Teamtailor) and from the government portals MYFutureJobs and MyCareersFuture.
The Job boards tab searches JobStreet, Hiredly and several remote-job boards live, for your keyword, when you ask. Those results are never stored.
How fresh are the jobs?
The employer feed is rebuilt every 24 hours. Jobs older than 90 days, by posted date or the day AJOS first saw them, are dropped, and so are jobs the employer has closed. The time of the last update is shown above the results.
Why is a job I found elsewhere not here?
Either the employer does not use one of the career-site platforms AJOS reads, or the job was posted after today’s update. Try the Job boards tab, which searches live.
Does AJOS cover anywhere other than Malaysia and Singapore?
No. AJOS covers Malaysia and Singapore, plus remote jobs open to people there.
Using AJOS
Is it free? Do I need an account?
Yes, it is free, with no paid plan. Searching, filtering, reading full ads and applying never need an account. An account is only needed to save jobs to a tracker and to see your skill match.
Are there any limits?
The employer feed has no limits. Live job-board searches are limited to 6 every 10 minutes and 30 a day per network, so the boards are not overloaded. Reports are limited to 20 a day.
How do I apply?
Open a job and press “Apply on the employer’s page”. You apply on the employer’s own site; AJOS does not see or send your application. When you come back, AJOS asks whether you applied, so your tracker stays up to date.
What does the tracker do?
It follows each job through seven stages: Saved, Applied, Interviewing, Offer, Rejected, Ghosted and Withdrawn. Each job has a next step with a due date, notes, and a dated history of every stage change and note you add. You can download the whole tracker as a CSV file for Excel or Google Sheets.
What are Recently viewed and Hidden?
Recently viewed lists the last 30 jobs you opened. Hidden lists the jobs you hid from the feed, each with an Unhide button. Both are kept on your device and work without an account; signed in, your hides also follow you to other devices.
How is the skill match worked out?
The skills a job asks for are compared with the skills on your profile, using a fixed skills list. You see the skills you have and the ones you are missing. No AI is involved, and it is not a prediction of whether you will be hired.
Trust and privacy
How do I report a fake or closed job?
Use Report on the job and pick a reason: ghost job or no longer open, posted by a recruiter or agency, misleading details, scam or fraud, or something else. No account is needed.
Do you share my data with employers or recruiters?
No. AJOS has no ads, sells nothing and shares nothing with employers, recruiters or advertisers. The Privacy Policy lists exactly what is stored and where.
How do I delete my account?
From your Profile page, under Delete account. It removes your account, profile and tracker. You can also export your profile as JSON and your tracker as CSV first.
I am an employer. How do I get a listing removed or corrected?
Use Report on the listing, or email support@ajos.online with the job link.
