Restaurant Server

Job Summary You will welcome guests warmly and guide them through our menu at a new Japanese restaurant. You will take and serve orders accurately, maintain guest satisfaction, and support dining area upkeep in a fast-paced startup environment. Responsibilities • Greet guests warmly and guide them through menu options to enhance their dining experience • Take accurate food and drink orders and enter them into the POS system to ensure smooth service • Serve meals and beverages promptly while maintaining a positive and friendly attitude • Check in regularly with tables to monitor and ensure guest satisfaction throughout their visit • Process cash and card payments accurately to complete transactions efficiently • Set up, clean, and maintain the dining area before and after service to uphold hygiene and presentation standards Preferred competencies and qualifications • Previous customer service or food service experience to support effective guest interactions • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with guests and team members • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced startup setting to maintain service quality • Food hygiene safety certification, WSQ Food Safety Course Level 1 (FSC L1), is a good to have but not essential • Must be legally authorized to work in the local region Other Information Benefits • Schedule: Flexible shifts available (part-time and full-time options) • Perks: Staff meal allowance, hands-on training before opening, and opportunities to grow as the company expands This role reports to Restaurant Supervisor/ Manager.
