Senior Backend Engineer/Software Engineer/Tech Lead (High-Growth Product Company, High-ownership role, Engineering-driven team)

My client: My client is a technology-driven company building scalable, production-grade systems that support real-world, high-traffic applications. This is an opportunity to join a mature backend team where engineers are trusted with real ownership, from system design to production impact, and work closely with peers who care deeply about engineering excellence. The team is based in Singapore and collaborates with global stakeholders. The Role: As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will design, build, and maintain core backend services that power business-critical systems. You will work on distributed systems at scale, contribute to architectural decisions, and collaborate closely with product, platform, and infrastructure teams. This role is suitable for engineers who enjoy solving complex problems, care about system reliability and performance, and want to build systems that last. Job Responsibilities: • Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs in production environments. • Own end-to-end delivery of backend features, from technical design to deployment and monitoring. • Participate in system architecture discussions, including scalability, reliability, and performance trade-offs. • Optimize existing systems for throughput, latency, stability, and cost efficiency. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions. • Contribute to code reviews, technical documentation, and engineering best practices. • Support production systems and participate in incident analysis when needed. Job Requirements: • Solid experience as a Backend Engineer working on production systems. • Strong proficiency in at least one backend programming language such as Java, Go, Python, or C++. • Good understanding of distributed systems, including concurrency, data consistency, and fault tolerance. • Experience with databases (e.g. MySQL, PostgreSQL, NoSQL) and message queues and streaming systems. • Familiarity with cloud-native environments, containerization, and CI/CD pipelines. • Strong problem-solving ability and a mindset of ownership and responsibility. What They Offer: • A production-grade technical environment with real scale, complexity, and long-term system ownership • Opportunities to work on core systems rather than peripheral or experimental projects • Competitive compensation and an environment with room for technical growth About Us Dada Consultants was established in 2017, with the commitment of providing the best recruitment services in Singapore.
