Assistant Accounts Officer

Job Summary You will support the finance team by verifying accounts payable, preparing payment vouchers, issuing cheques, and monitoring payments for company vehicles and project-related expenses. Responsibilities • Verify accounts payable to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies • Prepare payment vouchers to facilitate timely and accurate payments • Issue cheques for subcontractor payments following approved procedures • Monitor expiry dates and process payments for company vehicles’ road tax and insurance to maintain compliance • Receive and record cheque payments from clients and subcontractors accurately for financial tracking • Monitor and process payments for miscellaneous items including public utility bills at project sites, petrol reimbursements, season parking, and medical bill reimbursements to maintain financial control • Assist the Accounts Officer by monitoring payments and bank transactions to update cash flow records and consolidate cheque and cash transaction statements • Perform other duties as assigned by the Senior Accounts Officer and Management to support finance operations
