BUNKER TRADER

JOB DESCRIPTION: • Be responsible for bunkers trading including MGO, VLSFO, HSFO and other marine fuels, covering market research, procurement, sales and risk management. • Develop and maintain relationships with shipowners, vessel operators, bunker suppliers, physical suppliers and other maritime counterparties. • Identify new customers and business opportunities in Singapore and regional markets. • Monitor global crude oil prices and shipping market trends, formulate procurement & sales strategies and execute hedging against price risks. • Negotiate, implement and settle trading contracts to secure safe capital turnover and physical cargo flow. • Analyze trading data, optimize operational procedures and improve overall profit margin. Requirements: • Minimum 2 years relevant industry experience with solid knowledge of MGO/VLSFO/HSFO marine bunkers market. • Possess risk hedging awareness and supplier development competency; capable of independently handling full-cycle trading operations. • Familiar with international refined oil trading practices, settlement terms and relevant laws & regulations. • Strong commercial judgement and negotiation skills. • Strong capability in data analysis and sharp market acumen. • Ability to work independently and develop new business. • Existing relationships with shipowners, operators, customers or other marine-industry counterparties are advantageous. • Fluent in both English and Mandarin.
