Senior Finance & Payroll Executive
Job Description
MCS United Group operates across MCST, cleaning, air-conditioning, electrical and renovation services.
We are looking for a hands-on and responsible Senior Finance & Payroll Executive to manage accurate monthly reporting, payroll controls and statutory compliance for two Singapore companies.
Key Responsibilities
• Handle full-set accounting and month-end closing for both companies.
• Prepare bank, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and balance-sheet reconciliations.
• Maintain accurate QuickBooks Online records, including vendor bills, journals, accruals, prepayments, fixed assets and intercompany transactions.
• Ensure each vendor invoice is recorded as one bill with all supporting documents attached.
• Use only approved accounting categories. New categories cannot be created without management approval.
• Prepare monthly divisional and project reports, including profit and loss, AR ageing, cash-flow position and key exceptions.
• Review salary calculations, leave, no-pay leave, CPF, levy, itemised payslips and payroll payment files.
• Ensure salary and statutory amounts are supported by official documents and records.
• Prepare GST reconciliations and supporting schedules for tax, annual return and financial-reporting requirements.
• Support government submissions, external accountants, tax agents and audit-related requests.
• Improve finance trackers, SOPs and work handovers to eliminate control gaps and duplicate work.
• Follow up on missing documents, outstanding customer payments and unresolved accounting matters.
• Work closely with finance colleagues, operational teams and business partners.
Requirements
• Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance or a relevant professional qualification.
• At least three years of hands-on full-set accounting experience.
• Experience handling accounts for multiple companies is an advantage.
• Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel.
• Practical knowledge of Singapore payroll, CPF, foreign worker levy and GST requirements.
• Able to complete month-end closing independently and meet firm deadlines.
• Strong reconciliation, documentation and problem-solving skills.
• Careful, organised and attentive to detail.
• Able to communicate clearly with finance colleagues, operational teams and non-finance stakeholders.
• Proactive in identifying issues, strengthening controls and improving work processes.
What Success Looks Like
• Both companies’ accounts are accurately closed by the 15th of each month.
• Bank and balance-sheet reconciliations have no unexplained differences.
• Payroll, CPF, levy and statutory work are accurate, properly supported and completed on time.
• GST figures are fully reconciled to QuickBooks before submission.
• Vendor bills have complete supporting documents and use approved accounting categories.
• Intercompany balances are agreed and reconciled monthly.
• Management receives clear and timely reports for each business division.
• Missing information and potential compliance issues are escalated promptly.
Why Join Us?
• Take ownership of end-to-end finance operations across two Singapore companies.
• Gain direct exposure to management and business decision-making.
• Work across a varied portfolio of service businesses.
• Have a real opportunity to improve finance systems, controls, trackers and SOPs.
• Join a practical working environment where accuracy, accountability and improvement are valued.
How to Apply
Please apply through MyCareersFuture with your résumé and a short introduction covering:
• Your experience in handling full-set accounts and closing multiple entities.
