• Standby Requirement: 24/7 standby may be required depending on project and operational needs .
Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership & Management
• Manage the full lifecycle of large-scale electrical construction and installation projects from planning through completion.
• Oversee project budgets, schedules, resources, quality, safety and overall delivery.
• Ensure project milestones and deliverables are achieved according to contractual requirements.
• Coordinate closely with internal engineering teams, subcontractors, vendors and project stakeholders.
Project Planning & Scheduling
• Define project scope, deliverables, resources and implementation timelines.
• Develop and monitor detailed project schedules using relevant project management tools.
• Track planned versus actual progress and implement recovery measures where required.
• Identify potential delays and coordinate solutions to minimize project disruption.
Cost & Commercial Management
• Prepare project cost estimates and monitor overall expenditure.
• Track project financial performance and ensure costs remain within approved budgets.
• Manage Variation Orders (VO), additional works and associated commercial matters.
• Work closely with relevant stakeholders to minimize cost overruns.
Site Operations & Coordination
• Oversee daily electrical installation and construction activities on site.
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors and site teams to ensure smooth project execution.
• Monitor manpower, materials, equipment and work progress.
• Resolve site issues and coordinate corrective actions where necessary.
Technical & Quality Management
• Ensure electrical installations comply with project specifications, statutory requirements and industry standards.
• Oversee electrical systems including LV/HV switchgear, power distribution, lighting and ELV systems .
• Review technical submissions, drawings and installation works.
• Ensure quality standards are consistently maintained throughout the project.
Testing, Commissioning & Handover
• Lead testing and commissioning activities for completed electrical systems.
• Coordinate rectification and troubleshooting works prior to project handover.
• Ensure completion of as-built drawings, operation manuals and other handover documentation.
• Work with clients, consultants and relevant parties to achieve successful final handover.
Risk & Safety Management
• Enforce project safety requirements and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement appropriate mitigation measures.
• Identify potential site bottlenecks and develop contingency or recovery plans.
• Promote a strong safety and quality culture across project teams.
Stakeholder Management
• Act as a key point of contact between clients, main contractors, consultants, subcontractors and regulatory authorities.
• Attend project meetings and provide regular updates on project progress, technical matters and key risks.
• Maintain effective communication and coordination across all project stakeholders.
Requirements
• Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in electrical engineering and project management.
• Strong experience in LV/HV systems, power distribution, lighting, ELV and related electrical systems .
• Proven experience managing large-scale electrical construction and installation projects.
• Strong knowledge of electrical system design, installation, testing and commissioning.
• Willing to be on 24/7 standby when required , in line with the nature and seniority of the role.
