Mechanical Design Engineer (R&D)

Responsibilities • Lead the design and development of new products from concept to production. • Create 3D models, engineering drawings, and product renderings using Creo or SolidWorks. • Develop innovative, practical, and manufacturable design solutions based on customer requirements. • Apply GD&T, tolerance analysis, DFM, and DFA principles to ensure quality and manufacturability. • Support prototyping, testing, validation, pilot runs, and new product introduction (NPI). • Collaborate closely with Manufacturing, Quality, Project Management, suppliers, and production teams. • Resolve technical issues, drive design improvements, and support continuous product enhancement. • Maintain engineering documentation including drawings, BOMs, ECOs, and technical reports. • Ensure compliance with engineering standards, project timelines, and GMP requirements. Requirements • Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, Industrial Design, or related field. • 3-5 years of experience in mechanical design, product development, or R&D engineering. • Proficient in Creo or SolidWorks for3D modelling and engineering drawings. • Strong understanding of GD&T, tolerance analysis, and manufacturing processes such as plastic injection moulding, sheet metal fabrication, machining, and assembly. • Good industrial design sketching and product rendering skills. • Strong problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration abilities. • Self-motivated, resourceful, and able to work independently with a strong sense of ownership.
