Job Summary
Develop and implement software and test processes for memory and logic devices using ATE and lab equipment. Analyze test data, coordinate solutions to improve yield, and collaborate across teams to ensure manufacturing and quality standards are met.
Responsibilities
• Develop software and document processes to test memory and logic devices using ATE, testers, probers, and engineering lab equipment.
• Provide test programs, limits, and conditions to front-end and back-end SCPs to establish clear parametric expectations and ensure test correlation of critical device parameters.
• Ensure released test programs include required parametric test margins, guard bands, and meet manufacturing release and yield expectations.
• Analyze test data, summarize findings, and present conclusions and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Review yield statistics for new products and packages, and coordinate test solutions with Quality, Engineering, and Materials/Operations teams to resolve yield or assembly issues related to testing.
• Act as the key stakeholder linking process, device, and circuit abstractions to support product development and manufacturing.
Required competencies and certifications
• Demonstrated understanding of Statistical Process Control (SPC), design of experiments, and use of industry-standard data analysis software such as JMP and SQL.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in Etest/Product engineering on advanced Memory and/or Logic within technology development or production environments.
• Strong background in product/component engineering, test engineering, or device engineering.
• Proficient in operating basic lab equipment including oscilloscopes, multimeters/SMUs, and pulse generators.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Microelectronic Engineering, Physics, Applied Physics, Solid State Physics, or related fields.
Preferred competencies and qualifications
• Experience with Advantest 93K or equivalent memory testers.
• Proficiency in C/C++ programming and Python for data manipulation.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey technical information.
• Advanced problem-solving and analytical skills applied to engineering challenges.
