Mechanical & Electrical Engineer

Job Description • Develop and review technical documents such as design basis, load lists, cable schedules, and single-line diagrams • To involve in the planning and design of electrical engineering works for building services. • To prepare tender document, design and technical for MEP specifications for tenders, as well as supervise the installation and commissioning of MEP works. • To collaborate with peers of other disciplines in feasibility studies and design, as well as ensure excellent delivery of service to clients. • Ensure that the works are carried out in accordance with the project quality plan, contract requirements including the drawings and specifications • Monitor and control works including those of subcontractors to ensure compliance with the specified requirements • Ensure material submission and approval, ordering and delivery are according to agreed schedules • Liaise and coordinate with M&E consultants, clients, subcontractors, authorities and to establish rolling programme • Coordinate meetings and daily briefings at site • Check all installation drawings and prepare relevant schedule • Perform testing and commissioning at work site • Prepare shop drawings for construction • Co-ordinate with the rest of the team right down to the foreman/subcontractor to ensure everyone is clear on the planning, scope, resource requirements • Ensure that the works are carried out on time in accordance with the programme and on budget. • Guide and support subordinates in carrying out the tasks as planned; Seek support from and report to superior if required • Assess subcontractor performance against plan and resolve issues collaboratively; Escalate major deviations/delays from plan to superior in a timely manner · Job Requirement: • Degree in Electrical OR Mechanical Engineering with at least 5 years of experience in M&E projects • Preferably with relevant experience in the construction industry • Good communications skills and able to work under minimum supervision
