What is the primary purpose of this role?
The primary purpose of the Executive, Maintenance Operations Control role is to coordinate and monitor aircraft maintenance activities and operational resource deployment to ensure aircraft availability, regulatory compliance, operational efficiency, and the timely execution of maintenance requirements, while supporting safe and uninterrupted flight operations.

To support maintenance operations through planning, monitoring, troubleshooting, and management of aircraft defects and maintenance activities to ensure operational reliability and efficiency.

How does this role contribute to departmental and company objectives?
By improving dispatch reliability, operational availability, minimizing technical delays and AOG situations, managing deferred defects, supporting maintenance operations, and providing reporting and analysis for decision making.
• RESPONSIBILITIES
•
What are the main deliverables of this role?
-Achievable defect rectification plans.
-Deferred defect planning and management.
-Technical follow-up of aircraft defects.
-Maintenance operational reporting.
-Aircraft status monitoring and analysis.
-Troubleshooting continuity and support.
•
What projects, services, or outputs is the role responsible for?
-Deferred defects planning and closure.
-Special Maintenance Requests (SMR).
-AirBorneo fleet technical follow-ups.
-Daily, monthly and quarterly reports.
-Fuel Penalty, PIREP, Delay and RCCA reporting.

What KPIs or performance targets must be achieved?
-Rectification within set time frames.
-Tasks completed within target timescales.
-High dispatch reliability.
-High operational availability.
-Economical operations.
-Minimized technical delays and AOG events.

What regular tasks and activities does the employee perform?
-Plan deferred defect rectification.
-Check spare availability, ground time and resources.
-Coordinate with AMO Line Maintenance engineers.
-Monitor aircraft defects and trends.
-Conduct technical follow-up on defects and delays.
-Monitor aircraft status and equipment deficiencies.
-Compile cabin defect information.
-Review removed components and initiate RCCA.
-Prepare operational reports.

-Coordinate planned work packages with contracted AMO Line Maintenance Duty Engineers.
-Review technical feedback from AMO LAE.

- Delegation must be formally approved and documented in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
•
What educational qualifications are required?
Bachelor's Degree in Aviation Management, Aeronautical Engineering, Aircraft Maintenance Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related aviation discipline.
Equivalent aviation industry experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
•
What certifications or licenses are mandatory?
-No aircraft maintenance licence required.
-CAAM Part-66 Aircraft Maintenance Licence (AML) or equivalent is an advantage.
-Training in Human Factors, Airworthiness, Safety Management System (SMS), and Maintenance Planning is desirable.
•
How many years of relevant experience are needed?
Minimum 1 year of experience in aviation engineering, maintenance operations, CAMO, maintenance planning, line maintenance, or aircraft technical services.
