Fullstack Engineer (React, Node.js, and PostgreSQL)

Role: Fullstack Engineer (React, Node.js, and PostgreSQL) JD: What to expect: ● Design, develop, and maintain software applications: Write clean, scalable, and efficient code to create software solutions that meet user needs. ● Build scalable contact data pipelines: Develop robust data ingestion, deduplication, and segmentation logic for contact management at scale. ● Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Work closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to deliver high-quality citizen-centric products. ● Participate in code reviews: Ensure code quality and share knowledge with team members to improve overall team performance. ● Debug and troubleshoot issues: Identify and resolve software defects and performance issues. ● Implement automated testing and continuous integration: Ensure the reliability and stability of the software through automated tests and CI/CD pipelines. No dedicated QE on the team, so you own quality end-to-end. ● Documentation: Create and document technical designs that are aligned with architectural guidelines. ● Integrate with downstream platforms: Connect ContactSG with communication channels (email, SMS, etc.) used by agencies. ● Stay updated with the latest industry trends: Continuously learn and apply new technologies and best practices to improve our products. ● Act as a technical lead when required: Drive technical direction, make architectural decisions, and ensure alignment with best practices and business goals. Experiences we look out for: ● At least 5 years of relevant working experience in software development, preferably in full stack web development. ● A degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred. ● Possess a strong understanding of computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, programming skills, and software design principles and patterns. ● Proficient in full stack development with hands-on experience using technologies such as React, Node.js, and PostgreSQL. ● Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and DevOps practices. ● Familiarity with cloud services, with added advantage for experience in AWS services. ● Demonstrated strong ability to write clean, maintainable, and efficient code in a collaborative environment. ● Experience with data lakes and large-scale data processing is a plus. ● Familiarity with record matching and deduplication techniques is a plus. ● Background in CRM, contact management, or customer data platforms is a plus. ● Experience with Kotlin is a plus (to support legacy codebases).
